Compare a Form W-2 with your log

The 2026 Form W-2 adds box 12 code TP for cash tips reported to the employer and box 14b for occupation codes. The W-2 tip check compares those boxes, box 7 and box 8 with the tips in your log and cites the IRS rules behind any difference.

What TipTaxTracker does

Records

It stores the shifts you enter in this browser and adds up totals from those entries.

Exports

It exports your log as CSV files, a PDF shift record, or a JSON backup.

Tax decisions

TipTaxTracker does not determine eligibility, calculate a deduction, or prepare a tax return. Check whether an occupation, payment, or person meets a tax rule against current IRS material or with a qualified professional.
