TipTaxTracker

Privacy · Effective September 5, 2026 · Updated October 2026

Your entries stay on your device.

TipTaxTracker is a static site that runs in your browser. It has no user accounts, and no application database receives the shift information you enter.

Shift-log data

Shift entries, settings such as your day-end hour, optional record labels, and the monthly-statement details you type (your name and address, and your employers’ names and addresses) are stored in your browser’s local storage on the device you use. There is no field for a social security number. TipTaxTracker does not receive that data, and the data does not appear on another device automatically.

If you used the log before its October 2026 update, a copy of your earlier entries is kept in the same local storage so it can be restored. You can download that copy from the Shifts page.

Numbers you type on the W-2 tip check are used on that page only and are not stored. The calendar reminder file is built in your browser and holds only due dates, no amounts or names.

Imports, exports, and backups

Your browser reads the CSV files you import, and it builds CSV, PDF, and backup files only when you ask for them. Files you download are under your control.

Keep your own backup. Clearing browser data, using private browsing, resetting a device, or changing devices can remove a local log.

Website requests

The hosting service receives the ordinary request information needed to deliver pages, such as your IP address, browser details, and the time of the request. TipTaxTracker does not currently load analytics, advertising, or remote font services.
